Bangalore to host National Tenpin Bowling – Yahoo! India News
New Delhi, Oct 5 (PTI) A total of 64 bowlers, including 14 women, would vie for top honours during the Syndicate Bank third National Tenpin Bowling Championships, commenced in Bangalore today. The week-long event, being organised by Karnataka State Tenpin Bowling Association under the aegis of Tenpin Bowling Federation (India), would see participation from national mens champion Harshavardhan Sarda and womens champion Prathima Hegde, among others.
Former national champions Vijay Punjabi of Karnataka, S A Hameed of Delhi, Srinath Pobbathi of Karnataka and Shashi Kumar of Karnataka will also be seen in action during the event, a TBF(I) release said. This championship is being played on two different oiling patters – long and short, and an international standard Kegel Kustodian also being used as the oiling machine.
The men''s and women''s doubles matches will be played on long oil condition, while the mixed doubles will be played on short oil condition. The mixed trios and mixed team-of-five events will be held on both the long and short conditions, the release said.
